Worth it coming back or no?
I quit probably about a year ago, and have been getting urges to come back.
Is it still worth playing anymore for the PvE value? |

Have you beaten all three games and the expansion? Have you done everything that you wanted to accomplish?
If your answer to one of these two questions is "no" please play the game. If your answer to both of these is "yes" please find a new game. |

you could always try making a new char to rekindle your GW spirit or just hang around and play, thats what games are for! |

It's entirely up to you. If you really feel like playing again, then go for it. There's nothing stopping you.

Wait for some epic skill changes (if they occur). If they don't come, then no don't bother. Too much of a grind at the moment.

Play if you want. It's your decision. I'd say come on back though

"Worth playing" is a very subjective standard, and a personal preference rather than an absolute. Unless you deleted your account, though, I see no compelling reason not to try it.
I mean, it wouldn't cost you any money, and it wouldn't cost you any more time than you choose to invest. You've already bought the product, so if you think you might want to use it, why not give it a try? If it bores you, you can always quit again. You can start out small-- no big announcements of your arrival or commitments to a guild. It doesn't have to turn into a huge thing until you're sure you're staying. I just don't see how you would gain anything by ignoring the urge to play. Actually sitting down for a couple of hours and playing a game you've already purchased to see if you want to get back into it would be much more productive than polling random internet strangers to see if you want to get back into it. |

I'd go with this one actually. If you haven't beaten all games on at least one character then play it, beat the games and get ready for GW2 (which is still 2 years away I might add) and if you don't find it interesting enough to play "just to play" or get better gear and stuff afterward then it's your choice whether or not you will stay.

One of the great things about coming back to GW is that it costs you nothing. So if I were you I would just dive in again for a bit and see if the game still interests you. I'm sure there have been a fair number of changes since you left which you can check up on in the update notes and as mentioned Wintersday is looming.
I quit a couple of years ago in the sense that I stopped playing seriously and investing a lot of time in the game. But every once in a while I jump back in and catch up with people and play until I get bored again. The game won't hold my interest for the long term anymore, but its good enough for occasional visits. Last edited by Winstar; Dec 07, 2009 at 09:16 PM // 21:16.. Reason: wording |

It is worth coming back, if only to look and see whats new (alot). For PVE only though, there's Nick and a little Zoo you can fill, plus daily quests. If you still have things in your radar to accomplish, then yes, now is better than later.
If you haven't filled up your HoM and haven't beaten all the campaigns (+eotn) then you should focus on that, gw2 is around the corner, and if you want to play that, it'd be nice to know that the bonus for filling hom is there for you. |

If you want to play around, just do it. Since theres no monthly fee or whatever, all you'll lose is a few hours if you find you aren't as interested as you thought.

If you enjoy making team builds, new builds, playing with friends just because, helping guild members, toying around with PUGs, title hunting, etc. Yes.
If you experienced the main PvE content and do not care about advancing your characters, messing around, or making friends. If think farming is all there is left to do. No. |

If you had to ask, I say no. If you cant boot it up, theres probably a good reason. BTW, Daggerfall is freeware. Nice throwback.

If you come back, make sure to have an assassin with Shadow Form
I also had a hiatus and when I came back, I found that only a certain few number of professions are worth playing anymore. The way ANet is sayin "screw this game" I really doubt if I keep an eye out for GW2. Other info:\ 1. Dont trade high end items or you'll be banned for RMT 2. Make sure your anti virus is up-to-date or be accused of RMT after being hacked 3. When LFG add "EXP" to it so you can blend in with 100% of other LFGers. 4. Only a few professions are worth playing anymore since ANet decided to make some invincible and noone knows the true meaning of working for accomplishment anymore, it's all speed clears with invincible characters. 5. you have to grind titles in the game that said they'd never make you grind [/sarcasm] and welcome back, if you decide to... |

It's not like there is anything to "lose" by coming back.
